BRM Projects is an end to end management & deliveryof property & workplace solutions who have been recognised for their outstanding impact with their workers, two years in a row. Steve Schmidt, co-founder of BRM Projects lets us in on what makes them stand out from other companies.

1. What makes your company Best For The World?

We want every project we deliver to embody the positive impact we’d like to make on our team, our clients and our community. Through our commitment to charity work, work with not-for-profits and our every day work practices we strive to motivate real change in the wider community to pave the way for a kinder future.

2. What makes you stand out from other companies?

We support business leaders to create, manage and implement change in their workplaces to nurture their staff and promote innovation and development.

We enjoy long lasting relationships with our clients. We don’t disappear after the lease is signed — instead, the next facet of our company takes over the next step in the lease , meaning our clients have a trustworthy partnership to rely upon throughout their journey.

3. How do you plan to celebrate?

Every celebration starts with a team table tennis tournament followed by a celebratory lunch where we share our achievements and hopes for future projects.

4. Part of being “Best for the World” is striving to always use your business as a force for good. What initiatives do you have planned for the coming year to continue to be Best for the World?

We will be allocating dedicated personal and professional objectives and development pathways to promote continued focus on growth and innovation.

We will also have a renewed approach to stress vs. stretch management and regular formal and informal mental health check ins.We will also implement emotional milestone tracking to compliment traditional project milestones (budget, timeline, etc). We’ll continue our support of 1 local, 1 national, 1 international NFP (selected by the team) to fuel our altruism levels and give back to society, and improve connectivity to our community and purpose.

We will continue to play our part for a healthier environment through constant review and improvement of suppliers used, recycling and waste reduction opportunities, operational efficiencies.

5. What advice do you have for other B Corps and purpose-led businesses that want to improve their impact?

Be real and realistic. Goals & initiatives need to be genuine and achievable!
